With more than ten years of experience as a chef, Donald Leong’s passion for the kitchen blossomed during a part time stint in the kitchen of a now defunct fast food outlet in Holland Village while pursuing his tertiary education.

Intrigued by kitchen operations, Chef Donald Leong proceeded to apply for the position of steward at Boulevard Hotel. Though it was tough starting as a steward in the kitchen, Chef Donald Leong treasured every opportunity to learn the ropes in order to fulfill his dream of becoming a chef.

Upon completing his military service to the nation, Chef Donald Leong forged ahead with his dream of becoming a chef by joining Dan Ryan’s Chicago Grill as a cook in 1995. He honed his skills in western cuisine with the company for four years before moving on to the position of Chef de Partie at Chef G’s Restaurant. As Chef De Partie, he sought exposure in mastering the art of Mediterranean cooking and jumped at the opportunity to work with Chef Michael Angelo, at Original Sin in 2003.

After two years, Chef Donald Leong began seeking new challenges in the culinary realm. He joined numerous well-known dining establishments over the years and rose through the ranks to become Head Chef at Changi Meridien. Since then, Chef Donald Leong has never looked back and is proud to have pursued his dream of becoming a chef.
